Eat Your Way to a Healthy Liver

Your liver isn’t the absolutely most glamorous element of your body, but  it is a hard worker. Among its many duties are detoxification, protein synthesis, and the production of biochemicalsneeded for digestion.

It’s not glamorous, but it’s quitecritical:  You just cannot live without your liver . If you plan to be healthy, keeping your liver functioning as it should is mandatory.

To be honest, the liver has certainly not been at the top of my list of wellness concerns. But afterlooking aroundsome, I decided that perhaps it deserves a little bit more  attention, alittle more care. But just what can you do for your liver?

Well, I, of course, jumped to a ”fix-it” mentality. I decided the thing that  the liver most likelyrequired was a detox.  It spends a lot of time dealing with toxins, impurities, and so forth, so cleansing it seemed like a great idea.

But WebMD informed me otherwise. They in fact explained that  ”most natural liver detox diets have  little  science supporting them… are very  restrictive and can cause harm….”  

Detox diets are typically restrictive and extremely difficult to stick with for more than a short while, and if they entail any fasting, that can actually slow your metabolic processes and possibly deprive your system of necessary nutrients. Fasting can also grow to be addictive simply because it can lead to a type of ”high,”  And if you suffer from diabetes, low blood sugar , an eating disorder,  a coronary heart condition, any chroniccondition, are a youngster , a teenager, a senior, pregnant or breastfeeding, forget it.

I made a decision to approach liver  health care with amore supportive, less aggressive   tactic. I made the decision to discover exactly what my liver requires, not what  I need to do to it.
